The image is of my daughter, who is in the sixth grade of elementary school, looking at me with concern as I had no desire to search for candy during her sports day, a recreational event with her parents, called a "candy hunting competition."
So it has nothing to do with the text.
First of all, nice to meet you.
I, the person responsible for creating Own GArment products, am writing this article.
*A maker is someone who is unable to make clothes by themselves, so they look up to the person and ask them to make the clothes they want, and with the help of those around them, they force them to make the clothes they have in mind.)
The team at Own GArmet products consists of Kazuto Funaki (also known as "me") (maker and button maker), his wife Yumiko (designer and patterner), two nuikos, one cutter, and WEB ( It is currently run by a total of six people, including those in charge of EC sites and marketing.
I started this brand in 2014 and have been running it for nine years, but the more I do it, the more I keep asking myself whether there's any point in continuing to make clothes.
Even so, I feel like I'm able to maintain my motivation and keep going thanks to the personality of the owner of the wholesale store and the positive feedback I get from the customers through him.
I am truly grateful.
First of all, I would like to end this article by simply saying that I have just started a blog.
I don't read books or watch many movies, so I don't have much writing ability, so I don't think my writing will be very interesting, but if you have a lot of free time, I'd appreciate it if you could join me.
Next time, I would like to write about what goes into a brand name.
