Orihime-daki is a dyeing technique that began in the Edo period at Orihime Shrine in Ashikaga, which is known for silk, silk dyeing, and Meisen. By dyeing in a small kettle, the fabric is rubbed, resulting in a soft, delicate, and well-colored dyed finish that does not appear monotonous.
It has a gentle and deep color and texture that cannot be created through mass production. This tunic features a large rounded hem and double buttons.
The difference in front and back length makes it easy to match with pants styles and skirts. It's a tunic length, but it also has seam pockets.
