This servant jacket is said to have been worn by people working in the service industry, such as hoteliers and servants in France in the 1920s and 1930s, and has been given a modern twist and is reversible.
The front side looks like a servant jacket, and the back side looks like a cardigan. The rounded front hem and the 7 reversible W-face buttons give it a very atmospheric feel.
The gray fabric is linen and cotton serge, and the unbleached fabric is a thick, high-density linen reminiscent of early 19th century homespun fabric.
